Christmas is around the corner and we’ve been busy liaising with a wide range of media and influencers about everything from the best festive tipples from Virgin Wines, to beautiful wall art from JUNIQE, premium coffee machines from Lavazza, and a one-of-a-kind luxury toothbrush range from Apriori. Gift guides at the ready!

Crackers for Christmas

With less than three weeks to go until the big day, Virgin Wines is keeping the festive cheer going with its Christmas Crackers and Boozy Baubles. We’ve been pitching the Virgin Wines Christmas range to key media and showcasing how tasty tipples like these can jazz up any dinner table or Christmas tree.

Launching Apriori

This month we kicked off work with our latest luxury client Apriori, the creators of exceptional state-of-the-art toothbrushes. Ranging from £790 to £17,500 (which will fetch you a Diamond Edition Black from the Extraordinary range) we’re pitching the collections to Luxury Christmas gift guides throughout the festive period, as well as announcing the brand’s partnership with charity app Elbi and Fairtrade Gold.

2019 planning

Here at FOCUS HQ we’re not only gearing up for Christmas, we’re in full swing planning our client campaigns for 2019. There’s lots on the agenda; from spreading the word about the 100% pure, Brazilian coconut water brand Obrigado, to driving brand growth and awareness of premium global Italian coffee company, Lavazza, through a range of activity including activating its local partnerships with the likes of Wimbledon and London Fashion Week.

Virgin Wines‘ Wine Advent Calendar

With the festive season fast approaching, the FOCUS team is gearing up for Christmas and sharing the news of Virgin Wines’ Wine Advent Calendar to key media for the third year. Following two sell-out seasons the advent calendar is now jam-packed with 24 of the highest rating wines from Virgin Wines, including 21 new labels and vintages. This year, our strategy sees us approaching podcasts and consumer affairs writers.

Obrigado Brazil Press Trip

Did someone say coconut water and sunshine? Following the UK launch of Obrigado earlier this year, the FOCUS team is hosting media and influencers in Bahia, Brazil where they will tour the coconut farms, experience the Brazil way of life and discover exactly why Obrigado is unique to the category.

Drax at the Hitachi Social Innovation Forum 2018

This month Jonathan Kini (CEO at Drax Retail) will speak at the Hitachi Social Innovation Forum powered by The Telegraph, about ‘The Workforce of the Future’. Focus will be on the ground capturing content and learning more about revitalising the workforce with new IoT opportunities and keeping the workforce engaging with technological advancements.

Lavazza announces partnership with Arsenal and Liverpool FC

For the past couple of months, the team at Focus has been busy prepping for an exciting media event where Lavazza announced its partnership with Arsenal and Liverpool FC, becoming the official coffee partner of both Premier League football clubs. From producing the event at the beautiful Four Seasons 10 Trinity Square to hosting media at the Emirates Stadium, we’ll continue pitching this story to media throughout November.

Marking Green GB Week with Drax

15th October sees the launch of the first Green GB Week which aims to raise awareness and understanding of how businesses and the public can contribute to tackling climate change. We’re reaching out to energy trade media to show them how Drax has risen to the renewable energy challenge by helping UK businesses achieve their sustainability goals.

Jägermeister Halloween desk drops

To get journalists in the mood for the spookiest time of year, we’ll be organising Jägermeister ‘treat not trick’ desk drops complete with bespoke Halloween-inspired doughnuts and Jägermeister limited edition gift packs. Prost!

Obrigado photoshoot

We’re leading a photoshoot to capture creative content for Obrigado coconut water for use across social media and editorial. With the help of a food stylist, we will be capturing beautiful photos of healthy food, as well as inspirational lifestyle and fitness shots at unique London locations. Watch this space to catch the imagery!

Bunlimited creative mailers

Setting Guy Fawkes night off with a bang! Our Bunlimited shopping basket is full to the brim with delicious hot dog meal kits, a Netflix voucher, recipe cards and a condiment gun so media and influencers are armed with everything they need for the perfect at-home binge-watching feast.

JUNIQE’s advent calendar launch

Our countdown to Christmas has started with JUNIQE’s advent calendars. This year, we’re pitching the affordable wall art brand’s on-trend calendars – available for the first time in four themes: black & white, motivational mantras, animal kingdom and botanical beauties – to interiors & consumer lifestyle media to land these seasonal must-haves on top-tier product pages.

Press trip with Nestlé International

We’re getting ready for the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, to be held in Cannes at the end of the month. It’s the biggest event in the duty-free and travel retail calendar and we’ll be supporting Nestlé International’s Travel Retail team as they preview a raft of innovation across Smarties, KitKat and Nestlé SWISS.

Bunlimited launch

We’re kicking off the launch of the UK’s very first hot dog meal kit ‘Bunlimited’, with a media & influencer event in the fun-loving Ballie Ballerson, Shoreditch. With topping stations, buckets of beer, and a million balls, guests will be encouraged to top their dog their way and leave with a little bit more ‘bunspiration’ in their lives.

Virgin Wines advent calendar launch

Virgin Wines, maker of the UK’s FIRST wine advent calendar is back, with a delivery not to be missed. We’ll be gifting key media with their very own festive tipples, while pitching feature stories, including expert tips and myth-busting comment from the brand’s very own wine advisors.

Nestlé SWISS press trip

This month we will take top tier trade media to the heart of the Swiss Alps to discover more about the relaunch of the travel retail exclusive Nestlé SWISS chocolate. Attendees will enjoy a briefing on the Nestlé International Travel Retail business, take part in an exclusive chocolate-making session and experience a sneak preview of NPD options for SWISS 2019.

The Jägerettes (and Jägerdudes) are back

We’ll be announcing the return of the iconic Jägermeister floor staff in line with pinnacle sporting events in 2018, as well as key calendar moments like Fresher’s Week and Halloween.

Limited edition Jägermeister freezer pack

With the heatwave firmly set in, we’re supporting Jägermeister’s freezer-wrapped pack to highlight the liquid’s optimum drinking temperature (-18°) complete with a competition element to win sought after prizes.

Gold Dust

Our quarterly inspiration session takes place this month, with Indulgence as the topic. The team will come together to share innovative campaigns, current and upcoming trends, and points of discussion which highlight how the meaning of ‘indulgence’ is evolving.

Lavazza@Wimbledon 2018

The team is heads down and on-site in SW19 to leverage four days of activity, highlighting the ambassadors (André Agassi and a number of leading chefs) and implementing our queue activation and Lavazza’s Top Gastronomy strategy. Chairman Giuseppe Lavazza has already been interviewed extensively from a corporate perspective, resulting in live broadcast editorial on the BBC and CNBC in the first two days of the tournament…

We’re reintroducing Carte Noire instant coffee to UK grocery trade media. Titles such as The Grocer and Convenience Store were pleased to rediscover the product and learn about the brand’s plans and ambitions for the next year and beyond.

Nestlé SWISS press trip

Following the recent reintroduction of Nestlé SWISS, our team will be hosting travel retail media at the Cailler Nestlé factory in Switzerland, the motherland of SWISS Chocolat Brut. Media will experience the art behind the product, and an in-depth introduction to the Nestlé brand.

Jägermeister’s summer of sport

We’re reaching out to trade & consumer media to shout about the launch of Jägermeister’s six limited-edition bottles, emblazoned with the flags of the world’s most famous footballing nations. Get into the sporting spirit and share a “Prost!” with fellow footie fans!

Wine tasting with Côtes du Rhône

We’re hosting an invitation-only trade, consumer & blogger tasting at the beautiful Regent’s Park open-air theatre to promote the Ventoux appellation. Winemakers from the region will be present and writers will be treated to the tasting, followed by a live theatrical performance on-stage.

Macmillan coffee morning

The FOCUS team is showing off its superlative baking skills, with the proceeds of every cake sale going towards Macmillan Cancer Support to help make sure no one faces cancer alone. Macmillan is there for everyone affected by cancer from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.

We are proactively pitching gifting products from the repertoire’s of Lavazza and Jägermeister to target media.

London Wine Fair: 21-23 May

We'll be at the ultimate event in the global wine trade calendar for Côtes du Rhône. Attendees will get to explore the appellation through tasting guided by wine expert Richard Hemming, and hear about trends and news from export PR manager Anne Georget.

Profiling contemporary creativity with JUNIQE

We're showing our appreciation of art by supporting and profiling JUNIQUE's artists. We'll delve deeper into the relationships JUNIQUE has with artists from all over the world through lifestyle media features, gaining insights into their personal journey and the inspiration behind their work.

Jägermeister's Meister Hunter

We've got our cocktail shakers at the ready as we kick off Jägermeister's inaugural Meister Hunter bartender competition. From Glasgow to Bristol, we'll be shouting about entrants' creativity in the regional heats. The winner will be crowned in the summer.
