Consumer launch of world’s first electric 4×4

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

We’re loving the latest, greenest addition to our client portfolio – clean technology company Liberty Electric Cars. The British company has completed testing on the world’s first luxury high-performance, pure electric 4×4 and we’ve has been tasked with announcing the launch of the vehicle to the consumer media.

Liberty’s new and unique world-beating technology enables the re-engineering of existing luxury 4×4 cars into 100% pure electric vehicles that perform as well than any combustion-engine equivalent available on the market today – something that had never been achieved before.

Our work with Liberty began back in June in Newcastle-upon-Tyne (the centre of excellence for electric vehicle development) in what can only be described as monsoon season! We battled gale force winds and torrential downpours to film the car during the testing stages and capture interview soundbites with the company’s CEO and MD.

On our return to a much sunnier London and upon completion of a full press pack – including press release, images and film footage – we released the news of the launch to the media. Coverage has followed in a wide range of titles, from The Daily Telegraph to iGizmo and MSN Cars, and requests for test drives are coming in thick and fast. Watch this space for developments as the car is going into production in October.

Get your tastebuds around a Paloma cocktail at the pop-up tattoo parlour

Head to the East End of London on Sunday 1 August to check out the HORNITOS Tequila pop-up Tattoo Parlour which we’re creating. For one day only HORNITOS Tequila will be concocting complimentary cocktails (for the first 2,000 visitors) and offering temporary tattoos at the Dray Walk Gallery, just off Brick Lane, London, E1 from 12pm until 6pm.

We’ll be joined by the very finest temporary tattoo artists, who will be on hand to apply the body art, and London’s authentic underground, urban designers, the Graffiti KiNGS, will also be inviting the public to create some live graffiti art on the day.

The event will be taking place to celebrate the end of a UK-wide search for a talented tattoo artist to design a limited edition HORNITOS Tequila bottle. The competition received an overwhelming response from the most talented and creative body art artists from around the country and the winning designs will be exhibited at the Pop-Up Tattoo Parlour for one day only.  Come along to get inked!

The amazing pedal-powered punch machine

If you ever get the chance to go to Secret Garden Party, you definitely should.

Tipped as the ultimate alternative festival experience where anything goes, its boutique, arty and wacky atmosphere means you are guaranteed to stumble across a whole host of surreal happenings…

Fitting into the festival theme of Stranger Than Fiction, Courvoisier was invited this year by Head Gardener (founder) and Courvoisier The Future 500 member, Freddie Fellows, to create a fantastical and extraordinary pedal-powered punch machine that formed part of the inaugural Courvoisier Revolutionary Spirit 2010.

So Lucy and I headed down to sunny Huntingdon, to show London Evening Standard’s Victoria Stewart what it was all about. After all, seeing is believing! Standing at eight metres high, with spinning punch turbines and a built-in bar, its impressive stance wooed the crowds across the festival’s lake and we all hopped on to pedal for some tasty Napoleon’s Dynamite Courvoisier punch. In the meantime, performers from Circus Kinetica, dressed as French revolutionaries, swung from the machine telling the story of how Napoleon had crafted this whimsical time travelling punch machine many years ago.

Being a time machine, Courvoisier’s pedal-powered punch machine may pop up in other weird and wonderful places in the near future so watch this space…
