The homeless, gender equality, postcode healthcare, period poverty, hate crime, LGBTQ, the Windrush generation, Brexit… these topics have all got one thing in common, they bring to the fore major human rights issues.

Keeping these in the news agenda in an engaging and accessible way is RightsInfo, an online platform building knowledge through beautifully-presented award-winning infographics, stories, videos and explainers.

The brainchild of barrister Adam Wagner, the charity has been running for three years with a mission to improve awareness and understanding. This content now reaches a million people a week.

FOCUS has volunteered over the last six months for RightsInfo to initiate several Big Questions interviews, with world-renowned portrait photographer Alistair Morrison; former World Champion triathlete Helen Jenkins; Rebecca Howard, the only female event rider to finish in the top ten at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and the indomitable humanitarian Alison Criado-Perez.

Alison’s interview, the latest in the series, is essential reading; she describes how seeing war first-hand changes everything.
