Bouquets of bursting colour will be the talk of the town and the Happy House living room was not one that could be missed. Decked out in colourful accents and Iberian-themed pieces set to boost moods, pops of vibrant floral buds also reigned supreme. On hand was florist Selina Kerley from McQueens, teaching the art of complementing freshly cut flowers with splashes of green foliage to create beautiful centrepieces sure to lift dispositions in any room.

Key to producing valuable work for anyone this year is a work space that encourages motivation and productivity. Wayfair’s solution? A ‘Power Up’ Home Office featuring motivational typography art prints, streamlined furniture and a monochromatic palette in order to stay focused and on track for the 2018 #goals ahead.

Lining tummies with happy food is no small feat, but balancing the right food with the right accessories can be just as hard a task. Serving up feel-good food on feel-even-better accessories was Eat Happy author and cook, Melissa Hemsley, in the hub of the home – the kitchen. Dressed with blond wood furniture, woven fabrics and natural earthy accents (with the odd pastel pops of mint, peach and sage), the kitchen and adjoining dining spaces – paired with glorious greenery – provided a perfectly balanced centre for 2018 balanced eating plans.

For media to take a moment for themselves to reflect on the Wayfair-adorned townhouse, the Snug provided the perfect setting. Plumped cushions and plush textiles filled the room for guests to sink into, and the mood was set with an array of lighting fixtures from the extensive range on the online interiors website.

Heading upstairs, the bedroom enchanted with calming lavender scents, muted tones, dreamy knits and a sleep-enhancing palette of dusky mauve, perfect for turning the lights down low, cutting down screen time and preparing for a mindfulness meditation workshop hosted by wellness warrior Michael James Wong discussing the benefits of taking 10 minutes out of a day to unwind, relax and ‘just breathe’.

For the ultimate in relaxation, recharging and unwinding, Wayfair’s Pamper & Polish bathroom proved to be the ideal escape with its spa-worthy touches, from glimmering scented candles to luxurious (yet affordable) linens.

In other words, Wayfair’s Happy House provided its guests with the solutions and tools to create their very own happy house.
